This morning I was in desperate need of getting out of the house and fancied some retail therapy. But I wanted something a bit different, I think in general garden centers are a great place to find little gems to fill your house with.
I have for a while now slowly and steadily been making my room look more grown up/minimalist and for some reason today I have had some extreme determination to do just that. Down came the remaining TV related posters. Out came the photo frames, pictures and the duster (boy my room was filthy). I got rid of my printer to leave more room on my desk too.
WHAT I PURCHASED:
I just couldn’t resist this little guy and my family are currently obsessed with it. I got this dog door stop (sweetly named Edgar) because recently the UK has been experiencing some sweltering heat, this means that my windows are often open and my doors keep slamming shut.
I also got two of the photo frames which you can see in the top photo. I originally had lots of photos stuck onto my wall with blue tack but they were looking a bit old so I wanted to spice things up a bit with some classic frames. I love these and I have a feeling I will be going back to buy some more in the near future. The photos I have included all contain magical memories for me which I want to remember for the rest of my life. I really enjoy having pictures of the people I love on my wall, it serves as a reminder as to why I do what I do and it helps me leave the house in a happy mood knowing that I can share the moments of the day with the people in the frames.
Finally I got a reed and oil diffuser in the scent Coastal Breeze which is currently distributing a lovely smell throughout my bedroom. I was really in need of a room fragrance but I am not really a candle girl ( I know shocker right) and I thought that this diffuser set would be a nifty alternative.
I am love with all the items that I brought today and I am really impressed with how my room looks. Sophistication is key.
Until next time,
