Try as I might I haven’t been nearly as consistent with my monthly favourites as I would like! It feels like an age since I did my last, so I have saved up quite a few favourites to include in last months favourites. August brought me lots of televison, beauty and fashion favourites but here are few of my stand outs:
White Collar Season 4
I have always been a huge White Collar fan and was gutted when they stopped showing seasons in the UK. However when I went over to the US they had all the DVD’s in Walmart, at the time I was yet to see Season 4 and I absolutely loved it! The dynamic between Peter and Neal is really what keeps the show alive and is the major draw for me! Matt Bomer brings such charisma and life to the character that you find yourself falling for the con-man on the odd (okay more than odd) occasion.
Kat Von D Foiled love lipstick in Valentine
I have and always will be a huge fan of Kat Von D – I could watch hours of LA/Miami Ink and not get bored!! The talent that the lady has is incredible! So when I recently visited the States I jumped on the chance to purchase one of her lipsticks from her makeup line at Sephora. This has been my go to lipstick for the whole of August. The mixture of colour and glitter enables me to add a real pop of colour to any makeup that I choose to wear. It is perfect for an every day statement lip because it isn’t too in your face but has a bit of added drama.
Benefit They’re real Liner
I have never, and I mean never, been able to apply liner properly. I have tried liquid, gel and pencil and struggled to get anything remotly resembling decent makeup. That was until I bought the Benefit They’re real Liner which allows for ease and precision when applying the liner. It is so easy to use and is amazing if you are a eye liner novice like me.
I recently went to my local Tattoo and Piercing Shop to get some more ear piercings, I got my second lobe piercings in each ear and also got my helix pierced in my left ear. The process isn’t very painful however the cleaning process can be quite onerous! However I am really loving how these look in my ears at the moment!
Doctor Who Pins
When I visited the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago I couldn’t resist picking up this set of Pin Badges – one for each outfit that the doctor has ever worn. This was reduced in value from £70 – £30 and as an avid pin collector I couldn’t pass up on that opportunity considering one on its own cost £5! These look amazing on my pin board and have been an essential to my collection.
Until Next Time
