Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution

I had been lusting after Charlotte Tilbury makeup for a very long time before I made my very first purchase. My first delve into the range has been to the Matte revolution lipsticks. I have seen rave reviews and wanted to give them a try.

My first purchase from the range was Red Carpet Red and my second was Glastonberry – a deep blackcurrant colour. I think my favourite of the two is the Red shade as I have been struggling to find a red that suited my naturally pale skin tone.

Let’s start with the cute packaging. I love the applicator tubes, they are a stunning rose tinted gold colour with Charlotte’s initials engraved in the top. This gives it a luxurious feel. My only qualm with the packaging is that there is no distinctive way of telling  them apart except for the tiny label on the bottom.

I was really impressed with the square angled tip, which to my surprise does actually make application a lot easier as there is so much more precision. It eliminates the need for a lip-brush.

I have swatched the two for you to have a look (Glastonberry on Top and Red Carpet Red below). They are two very pigmented and vibrant shades which don’t need many layers of application. These are perfect for use with or without lip liners just depends on your personal preference. I am impressed by the finish of these, they don’t leave the lips looking dry or cakey like some matte shades can do,

Their staying power, finish and colour are all incredible quality. If you want to treat yourself this month make sure you purchase something Charlotte Tilbury.

What are your favourite lip products? Have your tried another shade from the range? Let me know in the comments below.

Until Next Time,
