Make a promise to the future. And put it out there. #faceforward

A few weeks back the lovely Hana from Clinique in Boots Southampton got in touch about a blogger event on the 6th of August. The event was to talk about their new #FaceForward campaign.

The #FaceForward campaign is all about promising to make a change in your life and sticking to it.

The event was attended by Alice, Lexie, Jess and myself.

When we arrived we were greeted by an array of different products for us to take a look at along with these super yummy mini cupcakes – obviously we all had to take photos though beforehand. Priorities!

The main products related to #FaceForward is the three step skincare plan. This consists of the foaming soap wash, clarifying lotion and dramatically different moisturiser.

It was great to get the opportunity to test out the products.  The foaming soap wash was lovely, it really left the skin feeling fresh and clean. I have always used foaming cleansers and feel like this would be a good alternative to my Clarins one.

The next step was the clarifying lotion, we tried the number 2 lotion as we are all of a similar skin type. It really does rid the skin of any dirt and left over makeup but not in a harsh way.

The final step is the dramatically different moisturiser. The moisturiser comes in a lotion and a gel form depending on your skin type. I personally preferred the gel as it was soothing and cooling at the same time.

The brilliant thing about the three step plan is that it has different options for different skin types so there should be something for everyone. With varying options of cleansers and clarifying lotions along with a whole skin care range for those with acne/blemish prone skin.

We also got to take a look at the Sonic Cleansing brush – similar to other higher end products like the Clarisonic. This brush however instead of having a rotating head, vibrates to bring the dirt to the surface of the skin. With an antibacterial changeable head this is perfect for when you have blemishes as this will help to stop them from spreading.

We also tried some of the other skincare products that Clinique have to offer including: Turnover overnight and daytime skincare range and the anti-blemish range.

One of my favourite products of the night by far was the ‘take the day off cleansing balm’ which I will most definitely be making a purchase of very soon.

My #FaceForward campaign skincare promise was to stick to a skincare routine in the morning, I usually opt for the extra 15 minutes in bed over doing skincare in the morning which I have now been swayed to try and start to do.

Big Thank You to Hana at Clinique Southampton for organising the event and providing us with a little bag of goodies – it is much appreciated.

What would your #FaceForward promises be? Have you tried any of Clinique’s products? Let me know in the comments below.

Until Next Time,

Laugh, Love and Shop

I hear you! It is totally a laziness thing on my part. I’m going to try and stick to a routine because I know my skin will thank me for it later. x

I’ve used the 3 step system before. I can’t say if ever go back to the cleanser or the timer but the moisturiser is all kinds of awesome 🙂 nice post
