I was kindly invited to take a look around the latest Salon in Hampshire – RUMA, with a couple of my blogging pals on Saturday. Tucked away in Bursledon, Southampton lies the idyllic RUMA Salon, just seconds away from the massive Tesco’s. RUMA is a beauty, hair and medispa facility which offers a variety of different treatments for your face, body and hair.
The Salon has a stunning interior and facilities that I haven’t found anywhere else. When we first arrived we were given a quick tour of the salon having a look at the beauty room, nail stations, hair stations and the medispa room and discussed the treatments that are on offer.
The beauty team at RUMA offer a variety of different treatments including facials using Murad products, massages, manicures, hair removal and makeup lessons. The hair team provide a wide range of styling services, technical services, colours and a range of hair up options whilst using a lot of RedKen and Pureology products. The beauty team also offer a variety of medispa treatments including laser hair removal, botox and laser treatments.
The massage chair and the hair wash basins are very unique. The spa massage chair has two settings, one for heat and one for massage, I can imagine this will really enhance the effect of the treatments. As someone who always finds it very uncomfortable getting my hair washed in the traditional salon basins, I was intrigued to try out these new basins. I really like the fact that it has a foot rest which means you are almost lying right into the head hold and the chair also massages the body whilst you get your hair done.
In typical blogger fashion we then took photos of the facilities, drank juice, ate the cutest little cakes and had a chat about all things blogging, hair and beauty. A couple of the girls had shellac treatments booked in and I am getting a shellac done in the very near future, so I will be sure to report back. I got my hair curled by the hair stylist which for most doesn’t seem like much but I literally don’t do anything to my hair apart from brush and go! A few of the other girls got some hair up’s (messy bun, plaits and waterfall braids) done which looked absolutely stunning!
I will absolutely be returning to RUMA as the treatments on offer are pretty appealing and the staff are lovely . The RUMA official opening is this weekend, Friday and Saturday please check out the website for more details.
