Nars for Glossybox – Unboxing

“Don’t Hold Back. Be bold. It encourages others to do the same” – François Nars

Beauty Bloggers everywhere have no doubt heard of Glossybox, the monthly subscription package that sends you a bundle of beauty bits each month. A few months ago, Glossybox announced that they were to release a Limited Edition Collaboration with Nars with only 3000 boxes going on sale.  I am a huge Nars fan owning staples like Orgasm Blush and Nars Laguna Bronzer along with the Nars Radiance Creamy Concealer so was super thrilled to get my hands on one of these beauties.

When I heard about the release I was dying to get my hands on it to delve further into the brand without having to commit to buying the full size. The box contains 5 deluxe samples sized products that have been cherry picked across the range and cost me £35 as a non-subscriber. The box is perfect for longstanding Nars fans wanting to try something new or for complete Nars Newbies.

Everything about this subscription box screams Nars from the soft touch box to the individual packaging and detailed leaflet. I have never purchased a GlossyBox before so I was intrigued to see how it would come packaged. With the Christmas season nearly upon us I feel like a beauty box would be a perfect Christmas present for someone.

Now the thing you have probably all been waiting for, it’s on to the products:

Audacious Mascara in Black Moon – A relatively new release for Nars and one that I have been wanting to try out for a while so this size was perfect. The wand has a mix of long and short bristles to help you get to all of your eyelashes in one swoop. Full size is £21.

Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien – I was super excited to see this included in the box. I am a big fan of the Matte Lip-pencils and I am intrigued to see how the two compare. Rikugien is a lovely dusty pinky-rose shade and is a very autumnal shade. I personally love lip pencils and find them much more pleasing and easy to use than regular lipsticks and find them perfect for every day on the go makeup looks. The colour is stunning and I love the finish of this one, it feels super moisturising and has a lovely creamy texture.  Full Size is £19

Nars Blush in Orgasm – This is a cult beauty favourite and one that most beauty bloggers have heard of, if not tried and loved. This was the first ever blush that I purchased when I was starting out my makeup collection and I hit pan pretty fast and all of a sudden it was all gone, after that I decided to try the Nars Christopher Kane Blush in Starscape so I am really happy to have this beauty back in my life and in super cute miniature size. This will be perfect size for travelling and gives my skin a sun touched glowing complexion with a hint of shimmer. Full Size £23.

Larger than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto – I was pleased to see an eyeliner including in the collection becuase I really am an eyeliner newbie. I have only started to wear eyeliner properly in the last few months and have always just stuck with my tried and test Clarins one but I have been wanting to find a new liner to try for a while so I can’t wait to see what this one has to offer. I have yet to use it but from swatching it it is a really crisp dark black matte colour – the website claims that it will last for 12 hrs which is a pretty bold claim but I will try putting it to the test and get back to you. Full Size £19

and last but not least

The Multiple in Orgasm – I’m not going to lie and say that I really understand what to actually do with a multiple but I am sure I will easily be able to find out after a youtube tutorial or two. The multiple is in the cult classic shade Orgasm and is a multi use stick which can be used on your cheekbones, lips and eyes for a healthy glow.

At £35 you couldn’t really go wrong because they are all really decent sized samples that will give me a chance to test out the cult Nars products before going on to purchase a full size! (Oh, you know I will – I cannot be controlled).

Did anyone else get their hands on this beauty box or have a fave Nars product to recommend for me? Let me know in the comments below.

Until Next Time,

Laugh, Love and Shop

Thanks for reading. Indeed, these are perfect travel sizes and I intend on keeping some of them for that purpose as I find full size products often get ruined in transit xx

I have a Hoola bronzer sample from benefit and it has been a year and it is still solid.

        • December 13, 2015 / 12:01 pm

I have always wanted to try Hoola, but never got round to it, is it good! I know samples seem to go a lot further than you first think. x

That looks like a good little box actually, I love their names of their products – not something you want be telling your mum about though haha

    • November 29, 2015 / 4:04 pm

It is great value for money, shame it was only limited edition. I think it would have made great Christmas presents. Haha, yeah some of them are not parent appropriate. x
