THERE WILL BE MAJOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT THIS POST
If you know me personally you will know that I am a big watcher of television programmes; mostly comedy and drama. I am always glued to Netlix, On Demand or live TV to watch the latest hit. I have picked my top 5 shows returning this year that I think you should keep your eye out for. (and yes I am English but use the word season, so what)
The Fall – Season 3 – Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan are back for the third and maybe final Season of The Fall; a BBC drama set in Northern Ireland. The series follows creepy-af-but-kinda-sexy serial killer Paul Spector (Dornan) and Superintendent Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) on a game of cat and mouse.
Suits – Season 5 Part 2 – Suits follows the lives at a NY law firm when they bring in fraudulent Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams) as a Junior Associate. Harvey Spector (Gabriel Macht) and the gang are back for the midseason premiere January 27. Before Christmas, fans of Suits where left with a big cliff hanger, that has left many on edge ever since with the biggest question being who sold Mike out to the cops?
DC Legends of Tomorrow – I am a huge fan of the Arrow and Flash so I am really looking forward to this crossover show. Legends of Tomorrow features some of your favourites from the CW hits – Firestorm and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell), Martin Stein or Firestorm (Victor Garber), Ray Palmer or Atom (Brandon Routh) and Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) amongst many others. With many more Arrow/Flash cameo’s promised and the introduction of Doctor Who’s Arthur Darvill to the universe, I think this is definitely a show to watch out for!
The X-Files – The first revival on our list – another Gillian Anderson show on my list – well why not she is a total babe! Anderson and David Duchovny are back for a 6 episode mini series revival of the cult classic. FBI Special Agents Mulder and Scully are back looking in to Paranormal Activity and whilst I haven’t watched all of the original series I cannot wait to see what the mini series has to offer
and one that hopefully will make an appearance at some point this year:
Prison Break – Another Revival! The Scofield brothers are back, both Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell have signed up for a ten episode mini-series of the hit TV show Prison Break. Filming is due to start as early as March, however a premiere date is yet to be set. Prison Break followed two brothers; Lincoln who was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, and Michael who comes up with an elaborate plan to help his brother escape from prison and clear his name. The show originally run for four seasons before having its finale in 2009. If you want to know what all the fuss is about why not catch up on Netflix before the new series begins.
