Everyone has at least one concealer in their makeup collection right? The first concealer that I ever purchased was the Collection Lasting Perfection in 1. I love this concealer but last year I decide to give into the hype and whilst in Brighton I purchased the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Both of these concealers are loved by many in the blogging community and I thought I would let let you guys know my thoughts on each one and which I believe comes out on top.
Now nearly everyone I know has a Collection Lasting Perfect Concealer in their makeup bag. At under £5 a pop, this concealer is obviously the cheaper of the two and can be found in both Superdrug and Boots. This is a high coverage concealer perfect for covering up acne scaring and spots along with blending under the eye area. It stays on all day and it makes the areas look flawless with no creasing.
Alternately, the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer comes in at £22 and can be purchased from dedicated stalls, Department Stores, Space NK and online. This concealer I would say is more of a medium coverage concealer, but you can build on it to become full coverage without it looking cakey. It also perfectly covers up dark circles and spots and blends seamlessly into my foundation. I purchased this in Light 2 Vanilla (after a discussion with the lady in SpaceNK) which is slightly darker than the shade I picked in Collection and is a perfect blend with my full coverage foundations.
Both concealers come with a doe-foot applicator however I think Nars definitely wins on packaging. The Collection one’s labelling around the sides always rubs off and the Nars one is much sleeker and pretty looking.
All in all though, my favourite concealer out of the two and the one that I reach for every day is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. There isn’t really much in it between the two of them but it is the price that sways me. The concealer does such a great job for under £5 that it is hard to justify the extra expense.
Which is your favourite concealer? Is it one of these? Let me know in the comments below.
