Best Of Romance: Chris Evans

Nowadays, everyone has access to movies whether it be via Netflix, Amazon Prime, iTunes or the TV. So I thought I would do a roundup of a few of my favourite actors . Chris Evans is best known for his action movies whether it be Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four or the role he is most synonymous with – Captain America, the shield wielding Avenger from the Marvel films. But did you know Evans also does a killer romantic comedy.

Here are three of my favourites:

Before We Go

How can one of the worst nights of my life also be one of the best?

Before We Go centres around the concept of one night in the heart of New York City. Nick (Chris Evans) and Brooke (Alice Eve) have a chance meeting in Grand Central station where Nick is busking in preparation for a big audition and Brooke has just missed the last train out of the city for the night, after her handbag was stolen. Nick decides to help Brooke track down her purse and get her home. Over one night they grow to become each others most trusted confidants as they embark on a night of facing their fears.

This film also marks Evan’s directorial debut and it is a job well done! Whilst this didn’t have a cinematic release, it is by far one of the best romantic movies I have seen in a long time! It can be found on UK Netflix now if you fancy a watch.

Playing it Cool

It makes you realise there are people in your life so important that they dwarf everything else. It’s up to you to figure out who they are. If you have to give up everything else and spend the rest of your days on a boat, who are the must haves, the ones you can’t live without? Figure out your own list and then do everything you can to let them know how much they mean to you.

The film follows the narrator – Me (Evans) who is a screenwriter working on a script for a romantic movie. But when he meets Her (Monaghan), he seriously falls for her, only to find out that she is already engaged to someone else.

What’s Your Number?

Where’s my coffee pot? I broke it. If you were on Twitter you would know that already.

Ally (Anna Faris) is a woman who has many ex-boyfriends. After someone tells her the magic relationship number, Ally tries to hunt down all her exes to see if they have changed for the better. When she has trouble locating them, she asks her neighbour Colin (Evans), who sleeps with a different women every night, to help her out.

Until Next Time,
