My Top Beauty Picks of 2017

Now I know what you are thinking, we are well and truly into 2018 and this is long overdue. That is correct!! But I am trying to make a conscious effort to blog more in 2018 so I am going to go ahead with this anyways! In 2017 I opted for more person posts so there wasn’t that many beauty posts and I am making up for that now!

I will start with my absolute holy-grail product which is my foundation. I use Nars Sheer Glow in Monte Blanc. I got colour matched at a SpaceNK store at the start of 2017 and have been obsessed with it ever since. I apply it with a beauty blender straight onto freshly moisturised skin and it lasts me the whole working day. It is one of the most natural looking foundations that I have ever used!

The next item I would use on my face s a notorious beauty bigger favourite – Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. This is THE best concealer i have ever used and it is so cheap!! I have tried some higher end ones and nothing quite co,s close. It does an incredible job at cover my blemishes and any dark under eye circles. What i love about this is it blends perfectly into my foundation and doesn’t look cake on the skin. I will repurchase this until the end of time!

It was on the hunt for cheaper alternatives that I stumbled across this gem! The Rimmel Insta Fix and Matte was £20 cheaper than my usual Clarins alternative and works just as well. It does a great job of making sure my makeup lasts the longest possible time. It also does an amazing job of keeping my oily skin at bay and has lightened the colour of my makeup as I am no longer using a coloured setting powder.

I wrote about this one in 2016 and this was the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter. I LOVE this highlighter. I use this highlighter every time I do my makeup and as become a staple in my makeup bag! I have hit pan on this one but I am determined to use up as much of it as I can – I love it so much that I already have another one in my cupboard waiting to be used.

My mascara of choice is Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. I remember years ago I went to town with Chandler when she was on the hunt for Roller Lash and by some small miracle I managed to administer some self restraint and walked away empty handed. A few weeks later however I was back making my own purchase and I have bee using ever since. It does a really good job of making my eyelashes stand out and and i never get clumps of mascara and it lasts an extremely long time.

Urban Decay has always killed it in the Eyeshadow stakes and 2017 was no exception. I absolutely loved the Naked Heat Palette. As with all eyeshadow palettes you have one or two fave shades mine are – Lumbre, He Devil and Dirty Talk. It is the perfect palate for travel as you can create multiple eye looks and you can also easily transition from day to night by using some of the darker and more sparkly shades.

2017 was also the year that I fell in love with the Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks. They are so easy to apply and last AGES! They are super pigmented and long wearing that I can sometimes go a whole day without reapplying. My three favourite colours are Double Dare, Santa Sangre and Mother.

That about sums up my beauty favourites for 2017 – most of my other products are ones that I interchange regularly and don’t have a standout favourite. Let me now in the comments below what your favourite beauty items fro 2017 where.

Until Next Time,

Laugh, Love and Shop

Charlotte xx

The naked heat is so pretty! Love mine too, I really want champagne pop but it’s too dark for my skintone 🙁
