Revolution Southampton: New Menu

If someone says let’s go out for dinner, Revolution would not be somewhere I would add to my list of choices, but when the team offered Sotonbloggers the chance to try the menu I was willing to be proved wrong.

Revolution have just launched their brand new menu and in typical blogger style we ordered a wide array of products to put them to the test.

First off we had some grazing options, something I love about restaurants is sharing food and being able to try multiple things. We had some nachos, hummus on chips, a garlic tear and share loaf and baked Camembert. These were definitely the highlight of the night.

The menu is extensive and there are plenty of options for everybody, and I found it extremely easy to find a vegetarian option something that is often rather difficult.

Some of our group had a selection of the grazing plates, which were really great value for money. These included things like sausages, meatballs, nachos and chicken bites. I opted for the green pea risotto which tasted really good and was extremely filling, I also had a very generous helping of onion rings in the form of an onion ring tower.

My major complaint and this has nothing to do with the new menu, was the wait for food. We were a large group however we were the only people in the restaurant on a quiet Sunday afternoon and we had to wait for 1.5hrs to get any food to our table. When the food was delivered we also found that a lot of the ingredients were not included on the plate. Ordinarily I would have walked out with a wait that long.

Having said this if my friends wanted to go back I wouldn’t hesitate to do so as the food is filling and great value for money.

Have you tried the new revolution menu? Let me know your thoughts

Until next time,
