Just on the outskirts of Southampton City Centre – Hilton Ageas is the perfect stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to all the action. It is situated on the hub for cricket and even has its own spa which I was kindly invited along to by EforeaSpa and Southampton Bloggers.
Open to hotel guest and visitors alike, it is the perfect place to unwind. For our visit we experienced the exclusive packages which is after hours use of the facilities for a group of 10 people.
We were greeted by the lovely spa techniciations in the reception area which is extremely well stocked with Elemis products, which is the brand of choice for EforeaSpa. They took us into a room to enjoy pre-spa drinks and nibbles. The spa has its own restaurant attached and we were treated to a whole host of food including couscous, apple and plum tart, chicken wings, crisps and tartlets to name but a few.
We then moved on to the spa part of the experience. The facilities are really clean and they have an extremely spacious changing area. We got given a robe, a towel and some slippers to accompany our bikini/swimming costumes.
The spa consists of a transitional lounge and deep relax room, a bio sauna, a light and a dark steam room, heated stone loungers, a foot spa, a hydrotherapy pool, an ice fountain and a outdoor Jacuzzi. Sauna’s have always been my favourite and easier for me to handle than steam rooms. The hydrotherapy pool was great to sit in with the girls and relax and have a chat whilst it bubbles away.
I have been on a few spa days in my time and this is definitely a big contender for some of the best in Southampton. It is extremely relaxing and definitely somewhere I would go again.
If you wanted to experience the exclusive package it is around £40-45 per person for a group of 10 or more and I would highly recommend it.
it was great to catch up with the girls in such a chilled atmosphere and I would definetly return.
Have you been to Eforea Spa at Hilton Ageas bowl? Or do you have a fave local spot to go for a spa if so let me know in the comments below.
Until next time,
